At Hempshill Hall we tailor our curriculum to meet the needs of our children. We ensure we provide a broad and rich curriculum which allows all children to develop their strengths. In 2014 we undertook a major curriculum redesign to reflect the requirements of the new National Curriculum. This can be accessed through the long term overview buttons below. Each year this is adapted to include any current events and the interests of children and teachers. Teachers and children enjoy their teaching and learning. See the class pages for what is being taught this year.
The school has made a commitment to teach Spanish from Foundation to the end of Key Stage 2 and has links with partner schools in Madrid and Mexico. All staff are involved in Spanish teaching and the school has a full International School Award. The school prides itself on maintaining a curriculum that encompasses the rigour of the core subjects but gives equal weighting to the creative arts, humanities and physical growth and development.
At Hempshill Hall we have employed a dedicated P.E. and school sport specialist for 1 to 2 days every week of the school year delivering high quality PE, sport and physical activity. To read more about our P.E provision please click here.
